Shueisha’s Kagurabachi chapter 70 left off with a climax to Chihiro’s duel with short-time rival, Hiruhiko. After a clash of Iai White Purity Style, Chihiro slashed Hiruhiko and broke his opponent’s sword as well. Genichi Sojo was killed by Chihiro in a similar way.

Hiruhiko has been setup to be Chihiro’s long-term rival. So, it’s unlikely that he’s dead, but Takeru Hokazono is known to kill characters.
