In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga is the ultimate challenge for any sorcerer

Its ability to adapt to any and all phenomena means that “slow and steady” combat is a death sentence. To defeat it, a combatant must possess a technique with enough raw power to achieve total destruction in a single strike.

Based on cursed energy mechanics and established feats, here is a professional analysis of the characters capable of neutralizing the Divine General.

Confirmed and High-Probability Victors

These sorcerers possess “Ultimate” or “Maximum” techniques with sufficient destructive scale to bypass Mahoraga’s adaptation.

  • Ryomen Sukuna: As demonstrated in both Shibuya and Shinjuku, Sukuna’s mastery of the “Open” (Fuga) fire technique provides the necessary thermochemical overkill to incinerate Mahoraga after it has been weakened by his Domain Expansion.
  • Satoru Gojo: The Hollow Purple technique creates an imaginary mass that erases everything in its trajectory. At 100% output, Mahoraga cannot adapt fast enough to survive the literal erasure of its physical form.
  • Yuki Tsukumo: Her technique, Star Rage, allows her to apply virtual mass to herself. At its peak, she can create a Black Hole. As a fundamental physical singularity, it would crush Mahoraga instantly, though at the cost of her own life.
  • Yorozu: By utilizing liquid metal to construct a Perfect Sphere, Yorozu generates infinite pressure. Because the sphere has a mathematical “zero” contact point, it inflicts absolute destruction upon impact, leaving nothing for Mahoraga to adapt to.
  • Hana Kurusu (Angel): Since Mahoraga is a shikigami manifested through a cursed technique, Jacob’s Ladder serves as a hard counter. Its ability to nullify and extinguish any cursed technique would essentially “unmake” the Divine General on a fundamental level.
  • Kenjaku / Suguru Geto: Through Maximum: Uzumaki, these users can condense thousands of cursed spirits into a single, high-potency spiral of energy. The sheer density of the output is more than enough to vaporize a single target.
  • Jogo: Despite his losses to the series’ strongest characters, Jogo’s destructive power is immense. His Maximum: Meteor summons a massive flaming rock with enough force to level entire city blocks. If Jogo can land this technique directly—before Mahoraga has the chance to adapt to his general pyrokinetic abilities—the resulting impact and heat would be sufficient to vaporize the Divine General instantly.

Conditional Victors

These characters possess the necessary firepower, but their success depends on perfect timing and maximum output execution.

  • Yuta Okkotsu: By channeling the full power of “Rika” into a Pure Love Beam, Yuta can produce a blast strong enough to rival Maximum techniques. A direct hit before adaptation begins would likely result in an exorcism.
  • Ryu Ishigori: As the sorcerer with the highest recorded cursed energy output in history, his Granite Blast is a pure force of destruction. If Ryu fires at point-blank range with maximum intent, the sheer volume of energy could overwhelm Mahoraga’s durability.
  • Hajime Kashimo: In his Mythical Beast Amber state, Kashimo can manifest any electrical phenomenon. A fully synchronized electromagnetic beam or a massive lightning discharge could potentially disintegrate Mahoraga at the molecular level.
  • Fumihiko Takaba: Takaba is the ultimate wild card. Through Comedian, if he finds the idea of the “invincible” Mahoraga losing in a slapstick fashion to be genuinely funny, reality will rewrite itself to make that victory a certainty.

Theoretical and Speculative Contenders

These entries represent “high-potential” scenarios that rely on specific conditions or unconfirmed power levels.

  • Yuji Itadori: Should Yuji fully inherit and master the Shrine technique—specifically the explosive fire arrow used by Sukuna—he would possess the specialized tools required for a one-shot kill.
  • Ultimate Mechamaru: By discharging 17 years of stored cursed energy in a single Miracle Cannon burst, Kokichi Muta could potentially generate the “one-hit” threshold required, though his physical frailty remains a significant risk.
  • Reggie Star: While unconventional, Reggie’s Contractual Re-creation is limited only by his resources. If he possessed a receipt for a weapon of mass destruction, such as a nuclear strike, the resulting explosion would outpace any biological or magical adaptation.
  • Yuta (Gojo’s Body): Although he can manifest Hollow Purple, his lack of “user compatibility” with Gojo’s body resulted in a lower-potency blast in Shinjuku. For him to win, he would need to land a more refined version of the technique than he initially showed.
