Kagurabachi 134: Masters of the Sword
This chapter concludes the fight between Shiba and Misaka and tells the backstory of the Ibuki family. Despite the intensity of the heartfelt—and for lack of a better word, bro-core—moments in this chapter, they were completely overshadowed by the inadvertent Natsuki slander.
So much so that readers are comparing his shortcomings to Kashimo from JJK. Kashimo is one of the biggest disappointments in recent history, but at least he’s honest. He was the strongest sorcerer in his era, even if it was the farmer era.

The Natsuki Slander
Natsuki completely lied about his strength to the audience. He made it seem like he and Misaka were peers and partners, like they fought together, like they were inseparable, like they were known as a team, and like he was an obvious choice for an enchanted blade because he was on the same level as Misaka.
In reality, they never fought together. Misaka left home right after killing their dad. Natsuki lost 132 times to Misaka and never won a single encounter. Misaka was famous; Natsuki was barely known. This slander is so massive that I’m not sure if Natsuki can recover from a community respect standpoint.

I believe Natsuki is one of the strongest swordsmen around in present times, but every time he fights, I can already hear the slander coming. The only way he can recover is if he comes in clutch during the battle against Akemura.
Misaka’s Relationships
Moving on from Natsuki, the dynamic between Misaka and Shiba/Samura is electric. Their dap was awesome. Samura respecting Misaka’s skills enough to launch a sneak attack was crazy. If you know Samura’s personality, then you know a sneak attack is not his style.

It was originally presented as if Kunishige handpicked each Enchanted Blade wielder, but learning that Shiba contributed by bringing Misaka is cool. It makes me wonder who made the decision to give a blade to Akemura. He isn’t the most experienced fighter in the Soga clan. Giyu was the leader at the time, and I can’t see him agreeing to Akemura wielding the blade.
Whoever made that final decision is probably dealing with unimaginable guilt.
