Shonen Jump’s Chainsaw Man 195 was a heartfelt chapter, mostly about Asa pleading with Denji to kill her because Yoru, the War Devil, is planning something “even worse than humanity’s extinction.” Denji consoles and convinces her to focus on the Death Devil for the time being.

The final page of Chainsaw Man 195 introduces a polarizing character. She’s an anxious new transfer student and obviously a devil. The question is: what devil is she?

The Chainsaw Man community is mostly split between two options: the Control Devil or the Death Devil. It’s likely that she’s one of the two since she looks similar to the Famine, War, and past Control Devils. They are all young women and sisters.

Nayuta appeared not long after Makima was eaten by Denji, so it’s very possible that the infamous Control Devil is back as another persona. The transfer student said, “I’m here to save you guys,” but that could be interpreted multiple ways in Chainsaw Man. She could actually be a hero, or she could be saving them from having to live life any longer.

She may not be either devil. One commenter suggested it might be the reincarnation of Denji’s past friend, Power.
