Kagurabachi can feel straightforward and action driven so I love the little details Takeru leaves that helps fill in the blanks.

Everything You Missed In Kagurabachi 88

• The elite troops pictured on the first page are the same ones pictured in Kagurabachi 80 except there’s an addition of three silhouettes. Kudo mentioned that each of the nine Kamunabi leaders command their own elite squad.

• All lower ranking Kamunabi were ordered to remain in place so if you see one running around in a panel, they’re probably a traitor.

• All of the things registered in Hakuri’s storehouse have been reset for some reason, adding to the mystery of Hakuri’s abilities. Where do all the items go? Do they cease to exist?

• Kiri is an elite member of Izaru’s squad. Izaru is the Kamunabi leader mainly leading the defensive against the Hishaku.

• Uruha continues to overestimate his relationship with people closest to him. He thought Itsuo was nowhere to be found but he keeps up with Kiri through text. He never saw Rokuhira after the war (Kagurabachi 50) but Samura visited Rokuhira’s home and even taught Chihiro swordsmanship.

• Itsuo believes women are too weak to wield swords and Kiri chooses to wield the biggest sword in the series so far. Her sword is taller than her.
• The strongest fighter in the Hishaku according to Yura was blasted away effortlessly by Uruha.

• Yura has never wielded a sword until now. Even when he fought Chihiro ,who had cloud gouger at the time, he was barehanded.

• Yura has always had rings in his eyes but the past couple chapters have been the only time they’ve went black like the Sword Master’s eyes.

• Kyora is the only other character to experience blacked out eyes and that was when he tried to use the Shinuichi (Kagurabachi 42).

• The Sword Master and the Hishaku seem to actually be in on the same plan as opposed to a one sided assassination ploy.
